A New Home for The Priory’s Youngest Learners
Designed for Childhood
Creating a Kindergarten Wonderland
Buchanan House will become the new home for all of The Priory’s K4 and K5 Kindergarten classes, creating a light-filled, engaging space designed especially for our youngest learners.
Rooted in whole-child development, this new Kindergarten home will give children room to explore, imagine, move, connect, and grow. It will support what children need most at this age: unstructured play, joyful discovery, and meaningful relationships.
Nearly 80 years ago, The Priory was founded on the belief that children learn best in a school that feels personal, nurturing, and “small enough to be human.”
That vision continues to guide us today. As leaders in early childhood education, we know that the early years shape a child’s confidence, curiosity, emotional development, and love of learning.
Buchanan House will be designed to honour how young children learn best — through play, movement, creativity, conversation, and connection.

With the support of the Soaring to New Heights campaign, The Priory will create a Kindergarten environment that reflects our values, strengthens the student experience, and supports a seamless journey from K4 to Grade 6.
